Jaguar E type series 3 2+2 conversion to XKR V8 Supercharged.
Originally a left hand drive 2+2 with quite a bit of work needed, customer requirements to restore and convert to right hand drive, also convert to a 420BHP V8 supercharged Jaguar XKR engine and automatic gearbox.
With this in mind a lot of updates were needed Fosseway 6 pot front brakes with 310mm vented discs, special rear brakes 4 pot with full uprated handbrake system.
7.5 x 16 special wire wheels, and to help keep the power on the road Yokohama AD08RS tyres.
New bespoke steering rack uprated power system, the rear half of the exhaust utilises the V12 system with stainless manifold being produced to match.
Brief was to keep the car looking as near standard as possible (a wolf in sheeps clothing).
Well Things have moved on, given the car will have around 450 bhp, the decision was taken that more rubber would be needed to aid traction.
The car has now be very subtly widened at the rear whilst remaining true to its original form, we can now fit 10.5" rear wheels, we also wanted to keep the chrome rear bumper, so this has been modified to suit the new profile.
The V12 insignia has been removed & replaced with Jaguar E Type 4.2 (which is what it is albeit a supercharged 4.2 litre).
December 2024 Update :
Car now in final stages, is fitted with 6 speed Manual gearbox, fully running with 455 bhp at rear wheels. Painted in Aston Martin meteor silver, with old red leather interior trim,electric/hydraulic power steering
